Belgrade to Bar trains
Put bluntly, the journey and the views are the thing here, not the trains. On this line you will have to slum it a bit in graffitied carriages that have seen better days. If you’re travelling on this line you will need to buy food and drink to take on board with you so give yourself time to stock up on provisions before you get on board.
Why we love it
If slow train travel is your thing, you’ll love this journey that meanders through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Balkans. On board you’ll get to meet locals, as well as fellow travellers, and it’s a great route to take you away from the well-trodden tourist trails.
