A Guide to Brussels Midi/Zuid Station

Brussels Midi/Zuid station is one of Brussels’ three major railway stations and is the busiest station in Belgium. The station serves all mainline services to Brussels, including the Eurostar to London, Intercity to Luxembourg, German Railways ICEs services to Cologne and Frankfurt and Thalys trains to Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne.

Domestic trains to other Brussels hotspots like Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp can also be caught from this station, and all are easy transfers for travellers. The station is known as Bruxelles Midi, Brussel Zuid or Brussels South Station, in French, Flemish and English, respectively.

The station itself is open from 04:00 until 01:00, seven days a week.

Platforms at Brussels Midi

Brussels Midi has 22 platforms at the station, serving both international and domestic trains. Eurostar trains to and from London use platforms 1 and 2 and platform 3 for Eurostar trains to Amsterdam. Domestic trains to other Belgian destinations such as Bruges and Ghent depart from platforms 9-16.

The station has toilets with baby-changing facilities, but there are no shower facilities.

Left luggage facilities

Perfect for travellers looking to explore Brussels between trains, Brussels Midi has both left luggage lockers and a staffed left luggage office. You’ll find the lockers near the international ticket office by platforms 3-6. The staffed office can be found near platforms 12 and 13. Both are open 24 hours a day and lockers start at €4.50 for the day, while staffed lockers cost €8.00.

Help desks for travellers

The station has a domestic and local ticket office which can offer help and advice to travellers. Eurostar also has its own help desk and ticket office which is open from 06:45 to 20:15 Monday to Saturday and from 07:15 to 20:15 on Sunday.
